Master Plan Projects

Disc Golf

The Erie community and staff are working towards a master plan for a disc golf course in the Coal Creek Open Space area, east of Coal Creek.  Residents provided commentary at the Farmers Market on August 29th, 2019.  

An additional opportunity for feedback will be held at the Erie Community Center, on October 24, 2019 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.  You can also send questions or comments to Luke Bolinger, Community Partnership & Special Projects Manager.  Planning will progress through the rest of 2019 with construction planned in 2020.  

Historic Downtown Erie: Coal Creek Park
Provided is a link to the adopted master plan for Coal Creek Park. Construction documents are compete. Currently there is no scheduled date when construction would take place on this project.

Erie Highlands Neighborhood Park - Clayton Park

The first citizen open house was completed April 10, 2018.  Based on community input, the following conceptual design was created and presented to the community at an October 17, 2018 Open House:

The Erie Board of Trustees approved the master plan on November 13, 2018 and construction documents are complete.  The Town anticipates constructing the park in 2020.

Erie Community Park - Final Phase

The master plan for the final phase of Erie Community Park has been completed! You can view the master plan by clicking the link below. The focus in 2019 will be to complete construction documents. Currently there is no scheduled date when construction would take place on this project.

Schofield Farm Open Space

The Master Plan for Schofield Farm Open Space, located at 2203 North 111th Street in Erie, was accepted by the Board of Trustees on February 13, 2018.

The Schofield Farm Open Space Master Plan will serve as a useful tool to guide preservation and development efforts for this unique open space site. View the complete plan (PDF).

The Town is currently conducting a Historic Structures Assessment to assess the condition of the structures.  This project is funded by a grant by the State Historical Fund.  The Assessment is anticipated to be complete in Fall of 2019.

Trail Wayfinding Master Plan

The Trail Wayfinding Master Plan, approved on June 25th, 2019, will enhance the wayfinding and location signage along Erie's trails.  This comprehensive plan will guide future signage installation along Town-owned trails and ensure a unified, clear and engaging signage system.  Implementation is ongoing.
