Study Session
The Board's 2019 workplan indicated a desire to learn about the process of the Town becoming a Home Rule municipality. Tami Tanoue, Executive Director for CIRSA, presented during Tuesday's study session on the benefits and considerations of Home Rule. Prior to Tami's current role with CIRSA, she led several municipalities in obtaining Home Rule status. Town Center Master Plan 
Staff is preparing for a visit from DPZ CoDesign next week to begin the initial stages of the master planning for the coveted Town Center, formerly known as the Four Corners Development. This initial kick-off will include opportunities for the public to be involved in creating a thriving area with a unique sense of place, including the right mix of retail, office, residential, civic, park and open space uses that will thrive in Erie's market.

countywide honor guard

Police

EPD is proud to announce that Officers Tyler Price and Mauricio Gonzalez represent our community in the Boulder County Honor Guard. The Honor Guard presents the colors (flags) at award ceremonies, community events, dignitary visits, and funerals.

The Police Department is hosting an Emergency Preparedness Class on Saturday, September 28. Officers will help families prepare a customized plan. Space is limited. RSVP soon...
Hydrant maintenance

Public Works

Public Works is performing annual maintenance on valves and hydrants in Erie Commons.  Work began September 17 and will continue for 3-4 weeks. At the end of this annual maintenance, the water mains are flushed to reduce sediment. Customers may see slight discoloration in water during the flushing. The water is safe to drink. Customers should start to see clear water within hours of the flushing.

The Economic Development team is hosting another Downtown Parking & Circulation Analysis function. Your engagement is vital to ensure the project balances the expectations for Downtown Erie and adjacent neighborhoods.
