Town Administrator July 15, 2019Employee Survey ResultsThe Town of Erie received an overall score of 3.95 from its employees! Wow! According to the Employers Council, anything above a 3.75 is very positive. Responses to the survey help us learn from staff throughout the organization, measure problems and track progress, identify specific areas on which to focus, identify things to celebrate, and make the Town an even better place to work!Urban Land Institute (ULI) Four Corners Technical Advisory Panel (TAP)Last Thursday and Friday the ULI TAP looked at how best to create a unique sense of place and an economically thriving center around Erie’s Four Corners (the intersection of Erie Parkway and County Line Road). Some of the TAP’s key findings and recommendations are (1) encourage commercial buildings to be closer to the street to create a feel more like Briggs Street, (2) the area may not yet have enough demand from surrounding residential to support a grocery store, so work to get other users that can attract more people to help support retail activity, (3) make safe connections to the adjacent Community Center so people can cross the street safely and enjoy activities on both sides of County Line Road. Check out all the TAP information and view a video of their presentation at this link.
