Water Service Saddle Replacement
on Pierce Street


Beginning Monday, August 27, 2018 a Town of Erie Public Works Contractor will be on the 300, 400 and 500 blocks Pierce Street in Historic Downtown Erie to make repairs to existing water service connections.
 
The work includes cutting the street to reach the water main to make the repairs, equipment will be running throughout the process. Residential water services may be temporarily restricted on a daily basis while work is being performed in each block of Pierce Street. The working hours of this repair will be from, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or dusk.  Work is anticipated to be complete before the end of September.
 
Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to traffic control signs in the area, and, if possible, avoid the construction area during work hours. Traffic control signage and detours will be posted to enable travel through the construction area in a timely and safe manner. Delays may occur and alternate routes are strongly recommended.
