National Night Out
Tuesday, August 7, 2018
Erie Community Park

On Tuesday, August 7, 2018, join thousands of communities nationwide for the Annual National
Night Out (NNO) crime and drug prevention event.

NEW THIS YEAR! The Erie Police Department will be hosting a community BBQ at Erie Community Park on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Community members are invited to come for hot dogs (while supplies last), interact with Police Officers and Firefighters, play games, enjoy the bounce castles and visit with neighbors. Vendors will be set-up with booths about community safety. Booths will also be set-up highlighting the Neighborhood Officer Program, each neighborhood is represented in 1 of 4 quadrants. Visit the booth which represents your neighborhood, meet the officers and learn more about community policing in your neighborhood.

NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTIES
We encourage residents to continue their Block Party traditions, as they are a great way to build and foster community relationships.

PURPOSE OF NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
NNO is designed to raise awareness of crime and drug prevention efforts, generate support for local anti-crime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships, and send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and watching out for each other.
