During Tuesday night’s meeting, the Board unanimously approved a Resolution, in support of Ballot Measure 3A appearing on the April 3, 2018 Ballot. The resolution read as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ERIE, COLORADO, IN SUPPORT OF BALLOT MEASURE 3A APPEARING ON THE APRIL 3, 2018 BALLOT, A TABOR ELECTION, FOR THE TOWN HALL EXPANSION.
WHEREAS, during the January 23, 2018 Board of Trustees meeting, the Board approved Resolution 18-26, a resolution authorizing a TABOR Election on April 3, 2018 for the Town Hall expansion; and
WHEREAS, the construction and equipping of the Town Hall expansion and renovation project including an expanded board room is necessary for greater audience participation; and
WHEREAS, the Town Hall expansion and renovation will create a community meeting space; and
WHEREAS, the Town Hall expansion and renovation will provide necessary health and safety upgrades and energy efficiency upgrades;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ERIE, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. The Board of Trustees unanimously and enthusiastically supports the construction and equipping of the Town Hall expansion and renovation project and urges all Erie voters to vote “yes” on 3A.
