Plug & Abandon Courtesy Notice from Anadarko Petroleum Corporation
The Town of Erie has been notified by Anadarko that will begin to plug and abandon four existing oil and natural gas wells (Tallgrass 2-8,6-8,8-8,5-8) that are located east of County Road 3 and south of Rue De Trust. The work is scheduled to begin on or around October 13, 2017 and will take approximately four to five weeks to complete.
During this operation the wells will be plugged, the associated surface equipment removed, and the land reclaimed to match the existing landscape. A work-over rig and other heavy equipment will be needed to conduct this operation. In an effort to reduce the inconvenience to the surrounding residents, crews will be working on site Monday through Friday during daylight hours only. Residents may notice a slight increase in traffic and are likely to hear the activity during operations.
