Town of Erie Department of Public Works

Waterline Construction on Jay Road

During the week of July 17, 2017, work will begin on Jay Road, west of County Line Road to extend an existing waterline as part of the Lost Creek Development construction. The work zone will be approximately six hundred feet long. Construction is expected to last two weeks, weather permitting.
Work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Construction will involve daytime single lane closures and lane shifts on Jay Road occurring from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All lanes will be open for travel following daily closures with some uneven surface areas.
Traffic control signage, delineators, and flaggers will be on site to enable travel through the construction area in a safe and timely manner. Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to reduce speeds and pay close attention to the flaggers and traffic control signs. Delays may occur, and alternate routes are strongly recommended during work hours.
