Erie Board of Trustees Seek Volunteers
for Volunteer Advisory Boards
The Town of Erie Board of Trustees is seeking citizens who are interested in volunteering their time in public service to the community by serving on the Town Boards and Commissions. Applications will be accepted through June of 2017
The openings are as follows:
- Board of Adjustment: 2 Alternates/Terms, Expiring April 2020
- Historic Preservation: 1 Vacancy/Term, Expiring April 2018
Interested citizens can complete an application online or pick one up in the Town Clerk’s Office, located on the second floor of Town Hall. The online application form, meeting dates and times can also be found online.
The work of the Boards and Commissions is accomplished in various ways including regular and special meetings, subcommittees, and tasks, assigned to or volunteered for, within the framework of the board/commission. In taking on the role of an advisory board/commission member, appointees are committing themselves to the time necessary to accomplish the board's/commission’s work, including subcommittee work, and the time necessary to review meeting packets, information, and materials provided by staff, other board members, and concerned citizens.
