Kum & Go Robbery Suspect Identified – Warrant Issued


The Town of Erie Police Department is notifying the public that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Charles Burge age 32 of Denver, Colorado for charges of Robbery, Menacing and Theft related to an incident that occurred at the Kum & Go along State Highway 7 in December of last year.

BACKGROUND:  On December 21, 2016, Town of Erie Police Officers responded to the Kum & Go convenience store located at 2999 Bonanza Drive in reference to a robbery at that location.  An adult male reportedly entered the store and demanded money after threatening to shoot the employee.  The male suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

Through their investigation, Erie Police Department Detectives were able to identify Charles Burge as a suspect in this case.  The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was also instrumental in assisting with confirmation of the identification of the suspect in this case.
