Board Reviews Sketch Plan for
Proposed “Copper Ranch” Development
The Board reviewed the submitted “Copper Ranch” Sketch Plan application that proposes 216 apartment units on 13.5 acres and commercial lots on 12.5 acres. The proposed development site is located on Tract B of the Ranchwood Minor Subdivision approved in 2006. The property is generally situated on the northwest corner of Erie Parkway and County Line Road. The Board provided general comments to the applicant, however, no action was taken. The Planning Commission reviewed and commented on the Sketch Plan application at their December 7, 2016 meeting.
A Sketch Plan represents a generalized land use plan and layout for the area proposed to be included within a subdivision. Sketch Plan is required to allow early, informal evaluation of a proposed subdivision before detailed planning and engineering work has been undertaken and before substantial expenses have been incurred by the applicant.
