Board of Trustees Seeking to Fill Tree Board Vacancy

The Town of Erie Board of Trustees is seeking citizens who are interested in volunteering their time in public service to the community by serving on the Town of Erie Tree Board. Interested citizens can pick-up an application in the Town Clerk’s Office, located on the second floor of Town Hall, 645 Holbrook St., or can complete an application online. More information about the Tree Board and when meetings are held can be found here.  To be considered for an appointment, applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday December 30, 2016.

Erie is a Tree City USA, a designation granted by the Arbor Day Foundation to municipalities who effectively manage their public tree resources and implement community forester programs. 

One vacancy exists on the Tree Board, with a term set to expire in April of 2018. The seven (7) members of the Tree Board are appointed by the Board of Trustees to rotating four-year terms, which end in April of even numbered years.  All members of the Tree Board must be residents of the Town.
