Erie Parkway Lane Shifts
Beginning the week of September 19, 2016, lane shifts associated with the work on the Erie Parkway expansion improvements will be implemented from Bonanza Drive to Weld County Road 5. Traffic will be shifted to the newly constructed lanes on the south side of the road while work is being performed on the north side. The project will construct an additional through lane in each direction, medians, and sidewalks on each side. The work is expected to continue through winter, weather permitting.
Work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The construction will involve daytime and overnight lane shifts with possible lane closures in effect from 9:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. on Erie Parkway and associated side streets. After work hours, both lanes will be open with some uneven surface areas.
Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area during work hours. Traffic control signage, delineators and flaggers will be on site to enable travel through the construction area in a timely and safe manner. Delays may occur and alternate routes are strongly recommended.
