Be On the Lookout: Auto Theft Suspects

Erie Police Officers were dispatched to a hit and run at 7-Eleven, located in the 3300 block of Arapahoe, on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 9:15 a.m. Upon arrival, officers learned that a white 1996 Jeep Cherokee (CO License Plate KQG088) had been stolen. The owner, who attempted to prevent the theft, was hit. The owner is uninjured.

While there were at least two suspects and maybe more, the male who stole made entry into the unoccupied running Jeep Cherokee is described as a younger, dark-skinned male who exited a dark, newer model truck. Both vehicles exited the 7-Eleven parking lot and were last seen headed northbound on Hwy 287.
