Four Corners Groundbreaking at Town Center

Beginning Monday, Nov. 14, Claystone Construction will initiate work on the new Four Corners development at the southwest corner of Erie Parkway and County Line Road. This development is an exciting piece in the overall progression of the new Erie Town Center project and when constructed will consist of 457 residential units, and 125,000 sq. ft. of commercial space (retail, office, and mixed live/workspace). The 45-acre project will also include neighborhood parks, green space, and public entertainment space.

Interested residents can attend a groundbreaking ceremony with staff, elected officials, and the contractor on Monday, Nov. 14 at 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Erie Parkway and County Line Road.

What Caregivers of Teens Need to Know

The Erie Police Department School Resource Officers are committed to educating the community on what they need to know when it comes to teen use of drugs, alcohol, vaping, and social media in Erie schools. The Season of Gratitude

As we approach year-end and the season of reflection, the Town has set up multiple opportunities to share with our neighbors and friends what we are grateful for. Trustee Emily Baer has re-imagined the ongoing Kindness Challenge to incorporate gratitude into the stories residents are sharing. She says, "For the month of November, I’d like to invite our Erie community to come together, to meet on the common ground of our shared blessings. Tell us who and what you’re grateful for and we’ll share in one another’s delight." To share your gratitude digitally visit www.erieco.us/erie-is-kind.

If you'd rather share your gratitude in person and on paper - the Parks & Recreation Department has you covered! Visit the Erie Community Center through the end of the month to share what you're thankful for on a paper turkey. Stories of gratitude will be posted on the windows at the Center.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8

In Erie there are drop boxes available at the Erie Community Center (Weld County) and one at Meadowlark Elementary School (Boulder County) – at this point, please try to use the correct box to ensure your ballot arrives at your county elections office before 7 p.m. on Nov. 8. See a list of Voter Service Centers for Boulder County or for Weld County if you prefer to vote in person.

Town of Erie Cone Zones

While summer is the season for major road improvement projects there is still lots of activity wrapping up street projects and for street maintenance. Each week we list the projects that may have the biggest impact on traffic flow for that week. As always, please sign up for alerts to get more details about these projects and many others. More information and details for how to sign up are at www.erieco.gov/ConeZone.

  • Annual Concrete & Curb Repair – A contract crew is working this week in Old Town to complete repairs to concrete, curbs, and gutters that were identified as part of the annual repair program. All lanes should remain open, though slow travel is suggested through work areas.
  • Utility Work for Four Corners – Beginning in mid-November, utility work will begin in preparation for construction at Four Corners near the intersection of Erie Parkway and County Line Road. Utility work may cause some single land closures, but roads will remain open in all directions.
  • WCR 7 & Erie Parkway – The intersection at WCR 7 and Erie Parkway is open in all directions. However, the contractor did not complete the work in compliance the Town’s specifications, so Town staff are working with the contractor to ensure the contractor corrects the deficiencies and finishes all improvements to the new roadway as specified before closing out the project.
    • Foundations for the new stoplight signal are completed. Signal installation is scheduled for the beginning of 2023.

Road work is weather-dependent, and timelines may shift. Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians should always be aware and use caution when in and around work zones. Whenever possible, please avoid the construction areas.
