Erie Comprehensive Plan Update

The Town of Erie Planning & Development Department is in discussions with the Planning Commission and Board of Trustees on the process to update the Town of Erie Comprehensive Plan. The existing plan was adopted in 2005 and last updated in 2015.  Now is the time to determine an updated vision and policies to address all aspects of community building and experience.

Study sessions were held with the Planning Commission on June 15 and the Board of Trustees on June 21. The planned update will incorporate a robust transportation and mobility element and consider equity, sustainability, and long-term resilience in the formation of new or updated policies. The update process is expected to kick-off this fall with substantial opportunities for community involvement through 2023. Information on the plan and participation opportunities will be shared as they become available. Stay tuned!
