Erie Fireworks return on July 3

Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 3 when Erie Parks & Recreation hosts its annual fireworks show.  Fireworks will be launched from the Erie Community Center rooftop and residents and visitors alike are invited to Erie Community Park to watch.

There will be food trucks, vendors, and activities for the whole family. The celebration starts at 6 p.m. and fireworks will launch when it gets dark, at approximately 9:30 p.m.

NEW this year: There will be three-bin stations throughout the park for your convenience in organizing your waste types! Green compost bins for all food and compostable products, blue recycle bins for aluminum, plastic bottles, and other recyclables, and of course a landfill bin for everything else! You are still encouraged to pack in and pack out reusable things as much as possible. Contact SustainableErie@erieco.gov with any questions.

Public Art on Briggs

Public Art Group

The Town of Erie is embarking on a fun and creative project to bring more public art installations to the community. Public art enhances well-being and creates a sense of identity and pride. For those reasons, the Town would like to find seven community volunteers to help select locations for art installations and review submissions from artists.

If you are interested, please complete our public art group volunteer application prior to Friday, June 17.
