Parks, Recreation, & Open Space Funding Survey Now Available

The Erie Parks & Recreation department is conducting an important community survey online and via telephone regarding parks, open space, and recreation funding. Your opinion matters, and we want to hear from you. The survey is currently available and will close on the evening of Wednesday, June 8.

There are several ways for Erie residents to participate in the survey:
  • Clicking this linking and completing the survey online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/Erie_Parks_LIVE.
  • Visiting the Town’s engagement website and clicking on the “Take the Survey” link/button. www.erieco.us/parks-recreation-infrastructure-funding-analysis
  • A random sampling of residents will receive an email from the Town, inviting them to participate in the survey.
  • Some Erie residents will receive a phone call this week from a call center asking them to participate in the survey.
We invite you to make your voice heard by sharing your opinion and participating in this important survey.

Know Your Property's Flood Risk

Each year, the Mile High Flood District mails out an informational brochure to homeowners about their flood risk. The Town helps to disseminate that information to all residents. To assess if your property is located in or near an area that has a high flood risk, or is near either a Federal Emergency Management Agency regulated floodplain or a local regulatory floodplain:
  1. Visit www.mhfd.org/floodmap.
  2. Enter your address.
  3. Higher flood risk areas on the map are shaded blue.
For floodplain questions and recent floodplain changes in your property, contact the Town of Erie’s local floodplain contact Wendi Palmer, at wpalmber@erieco.gov or 303-926-2875.

For questions on preparing for an emergency, contact your office of emergency management.
