Air Purification Rebate

Air Purification Rebate

Tired of spring allergies or smells of smoke during wildland fires, wonder about Volatile Organic Compounds from cooking with natural gas, concerned that COVID might be in the air when friends and family come to visit, or want to make sure radon is not a problem in your home? Erie offers indoor air quality rebates to help you take control of your home air environment and improve your wellbeing. Visit the Town’s website today to find out if an air purifier or radon mitigation system is applicable for a rebate!

Triple bin

Erie aims for zero waste

Erie is working towards being a zero-waste community – one that not only reduces, reuses, and recycles, but also one that changes the way materials flow through our community, resulting in no waste.
Look for composting and recycling stations at all upcoming Erie events, including the Farmer’s Market and Town Fair. You are invited to help by:

  • Being conscious of the waste you may create at special events. For example, bring a reusable water bottle.
  • Educating yourself on what goes into each bin. Visit the website for both recycling and composting guidelines.
  • Become a Zero Waste Champion to help share that knowledge with others.
Look for signage and waste diversion stations at events.
Learn more about Erie’s zero waste efforts on our website.
Crime Map

Ever Wondered Where Crime Occurs in Erie?

The Erie Police Department has created an interactive map to help visualize criminal activity by geography in Erie. The Investigations Section uses property crime data (burglary, theft, and trespasses) to update the map each quarter. In the map, property crimes reported to the Police Department are notated with the date and time of the report and the case number and are grouped by Theft, Burglary, or Trespasses. View the map.
Home Rule Rescheduled Meeting

Rescheduled Home Rule Q&A Webinar

Due to an unfortunate blend of human error and technology, the Home Rule Community Meeting originally scheduled for April 12 has been rescheduled.
Now set for Monday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m., please join Town of Erie staff and experts on what other communities have done and the Home Rule process to discuss what it means to move from a Statutory Town form of government to Home Rule. This is the perfect opportunity to get one more overview of the process and then ask any question you may have.

We understand it may be difficult for some residents to attend this rescheduled date. Staff will be recording this session and posting to the Home Rule Charter webpage after the meeting. Residents can also submit their questions at any time to the same webpage and those questions are answered by staff as they are submitted. Join the Q&A session with this link.
