Meet the Newly Promoted Sergeant

The Erie Police Department is pleased to introduce you to a newly promoted Sergeant at the Erie Police Department. Sergeant Williams was formerly a Detective at the Erie Police Department. If you see Sergeant Stephen Williams, please introduce yourself and say, "hi"!

Who is Sergeant Stephen Williams?

I have been an Officer with the Erie Police Department for three years. Before I worked for the Town of Erie. I worked for the Town of Vail as a Police Officer, I also worked for the Town of Vail as a Dispatcher. I now work as a Sergeant for the Erie Police Department.

What do you love about working in Erie?

I love the sense of community within the Town and how you can get to know those who live and work within the community.

Why did you want to be in law enforcement?

I wanted the opportunity to be a servant leader and do something new I haven't done before.

Tell us about your average day.

Right now, my day consists of learning all my new duties and assignments as a Sergeant.

What are you doing when not working?

Weightlifting, snowboarding, watching movies, watching the K.C. Chiefs dominate the AFC West, watching the Husker’s lose football games (unfortunately), and riding my motorcycle.

Prince (The Purple One).
