State of Town Presentation

The Erie Chamber of Commerce is hosting the annual State of the Town Address at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 31. Mayor Jennifer Carroll, Mayor Pro Tem Adam Haid and Town Administrator Malcolm Fleming will recap 2021 and share the upcoming projects of 2022. The event will be held at the Erie Social Club (105 Wells Street) and RSVP is required to either erie@eriechamber.org or 303-828-3440.

Child Abuse Prevention Proclamation

On Tuesday,  the Board of Trustees proclaimed April Child Abuse Prevention Month and the week of April 24-30 as Crime Victims' Rights Week in honor of those dedicated victim service providers who work every day to meet the needs of crime victims. View the video of the proclamation.

Northwest Entrance to City Hall

Town Hall Main Entrance Upgrades

Beginning Monday, March 28 the entrance at Town Hall will be under construction for improved safety and security. The project will add a second set of doors at the main entrance of Town Hall and improve the experience when approaching the front desk. 
 

The construction is scheduled to wrap up on April 13. During this period, the main entrance will be closed to all staff and visitors. Visitors may enter through the northwest entrance on Holbrook Street where they will be greeted and assisted to get the help they need. Operations will continue as normal. Election ballots may be put in the utility/ballot box drop-off or at the Election Center on the east side of Town Hall.

Boy on Strider Bike

Strider Bike Derby, April 30, 2022

Families are invited to register their little ones for Parks & Recreation’s Strider Bike Derby on April 30 at Calvary Bible Church. The fun starts at 3:30 p.m., where kids are invited to race down the backstretch and head toward the finish line while building their confidence and bike skills. Participants may take as many turns as they can handle and all will receive a cool swag bag. In true Kentucky Derby fashion, formal attire and derby hats are encouraged (but no betting allowedmil)Smil. Register for the event through Amilia.

The Road to Election 2022 

The Town of Erie is well into Election Season 2022! Please visit www.erieco.gov/Election to view candidate information, important dates for ballot mailing and returns, and other timely details. This year there is one seat open for Mayor and three seats open for Trustee. The deadline has passed to mail your ballot. Upcoming election activity:

  • Ballot Drop-Off – Ballots can be dropped off in front of Town Hall (the Utility Bill drop-box has been temporarily re-purposed for ballots) or within Town Hall if residents prefer to talk to a person or ask questions. Enter through the temporary northwest entrance and a staff member will help.
