Honoring Former Trustee Bill Gippe

Staff and the sitting Board of Trustees wanted to honor the work former Trustee Bill Gippe had done for the Town before, during, and (no doubt) after his service on the Board which ended in the fall. And they really wanted to do it in person! With the return of in-person Board of Trustee Regular Meetings on March 8, Bill Gippe was able to return once more to Town Hall and receive his well-deserve kudos. View the full letter outlining his service or watch the reading of the letter from the meeting.

And that’s right! Board of Trustees Regular Meetings (the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month) are now back in the Board Room at Town Hall. Members of the public will have the option to continue watching the meetings live online OR can attend in person.

Any members of the public wishing to provide comments to the Board can also choose to do so in person or continue to provide comments over Zoom as we have done the past two years. Links to the Zoom feed will be made available on the Calendar Item for the meeting the week before the meeting date. Any residents wishing to provide written comments to the Board can submit comments to bot@erieco.gov or on a specific agenda item on eComment (open the week before a meeting).

Live-Action “Assassin” Game Trend

The Erie Police have shared information about a dangerous trend among teens where players are assigned peer 'targets' whom they attempt to 'assassinate' using mock weapons. Players stalk each other at all hours and in public and private spaces. The last remaining survivor is declared the victor. For public safety reasons this trend is of concern. For more information, view the news release. Subscribe to Police emails at www.erieco.gov/NotifyMe.

  • 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Wednesdays

Sign up for Cone Zone Alerts for Construction Updates

As the temperature rises, it becomes more and more likely that road construction increases as well. Between the Town of Erie, developer contractors, CDOT, and the counties – both Boulder and Weld – many different projects can happen at once! Developer projects must adhere to all Town requirements. The Town coordinates closely with other jurisdictions and will provide as much information as possible, and certainly all information about Town-managed projects.

Be sure to visit www.erieco.gov/ConeZone to see compiled information about construction projects and consider signing up for email/text alerts to get the latest right on your phone.
