Radon Awareness Month

Tomorrow, the Board of Trustees will read a proclamation marking January as Radon Awareness Month. Radon is no joke and in Colorado, more than 50% of homes have unhealthy radon levels. This compares with only 6% of homes having unhealthy radon levels across the rest of the country. If you haven't had your home tested in a while, you should do it now for peace of mind! Simply order your free kit online.

Visit Erie’s information page on radon for more details and ways to save on testing and mitigation.

How’s Your Business Doing?

Throughout 2021, the Economic Development Department and partners across Northern Colorado have been learning about business challenges and informing local and regional decision makers to help guide the development and implementation of assistance programs, policy changes, and advocacy actions that help businesses survive. As we start 2022, we ask our local business owners to take 10 minutes to tell us how your business is doing, what the near future holds, and what help you need to keep your business going strong. The survey will be open for the month of January and all survey responses are confidential. See aggregate public reports from previous surveys online.

Path to Home Rule image

Share your Input About Home Rule

The Town of Erie is conducting an important online and telephone community survey regarding a proposed change to our form of local government. The Board of Trustees is exploring the process of possibly changing the Town's local government from Statutory Rule to Home Rule. The process includes extensive community participation with opportunities for community members to share input and ultimately create a Town Charter if voters pursue that path. Your opinion matters, and we want to hear from you! Please complete the survey by Wednesday, Jan. 19.
