Release Reported at Dump UU 28-8 - Extraction Resources

Extraction Resources has notified the COGCC of a release that was reported on August 4, 2021, at the Dump UU 28-8 site, outside Erie limits (located south of CR 6 and east of CR 5).

The release was discovered during the removal of a partially-buried produced-water vessel and an enclosed combustion device (ECD) where legacy suspected soil impacts were observed. Excavation to define the vertical and horizontal extent of contamination is underway, the results of which will be reported via Form 27 once investigations are complete.
