Community Build at Country Fields Park
The Parks & Recreation Department, along with dozens of volunteers, joined Star Playgrounds to build a replacement playground at Country Fields Park on July 24! Starting with a dirt pad and 200 pieces, volunteers worked throughout the day to assemble the playground structure, including two large multi-age structures, swings, a climbing structure, and two butterfly spinners. The Town saved more than $8,000 by using volunteers, but the camaraderie and pride of the day's achievement were priceless! A special thank you to Luke Bolinger, Community Partnerships & Special Projects Manager, for leading the playground project and coordinating the community build, and to all the volunteers who contributed their talents and time! The new playground is open to the public as of Friday, July 30.
