Traffic Advisory: 111th Street for Nine Mile Development
On Monday, May 17, 2021, as part of the development work for the Nine Mile Minor Subdivision, the contractor for the Developer will begin to install the offsite sewer line in 111th Street. This work will require trenching, milling of the roadway surface and asphalt paving in large areas of the roadway between Arapahoe Road and the intersection of Flatiron Meadows Boulevard and 111th Street.
The work is expected to last through early summer and will be performed in four phases. Updates to the phases will be posted to the news item. Time frames and dates are subject to change due to weather and any other unanticipated delays.
Phase 1: May 17 – June 8 (23 Days)
Work will occur from the intersection of Flatiron Meadows Boulevard and 111th Street to the Scofield Farm entrance. The work requires an overnight closure with a detour route utilizing 119th Street between Arapahoe Road and Erie Parkway. Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes.
Phase 2: June 9- June 25 (17 Days)
The work zone will move south between the Schofield Farm entrance and the south side of Dickens Street. The work requires an overnight closure with a detour route utilizing 119th Street between Arapahoe Road and Erie Parkway. Access to the Arapahoe Ridge subdivision will be at Morris Court. Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes.
Phase 3: June 28- July 12 (14 Days)
The work zone will move south from the south side of Dickens Street to the south side of Morris Drive. This work will include a partial daytime closure of Morris Drive; flaggers will be used to move motorists through Morris Drive during the day to keep access open to the residences. After work hours Morris Drive will be fully opened, but the work zone to the south will be closed. A detour route will be in place utilizing 119th Street between Arapahoe Road and Erie Parkway. Access to the Arapahoe Ridge subdivisions will be at Morris Court from Arapahoe Road and Dickens Street from Flatiron Meadow Boulevard. Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes.
Phase 4: July 13- July – July 28 (16 Days)
The work zone will move south from the north side of Morris Street to Arapahoe Road. This work will include a partial daytime closure of Morris Drive; flaggers will be used to move motorists through Morris Drive during the day to keep access open to the residences. After work hours Morris Drive will be fully opened, but the work zone to the north will be closed. A detour route will be in place utilizing Flatiron Meadows Boulevard from Erie Parkway and 119th Street between Arapahoe Road and Erie Parkway. Access to the Arapahoe Ridge subdivision will be at Morris Drive and Dickens Street. Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes.
