2021 Work Plan

                                        January 19, 2021

Work Plan

The Board of Trustees prioritizes projects, issues, and actions into an annual Work Plan. The Work Plan identifies the relative priority the Board assigns to each topic and the time Trustees expect to spend on each, and the level of community engagement. The Work Plan for 2020 included 48 different issues; 90 percent completed or made the anticipated progress despite the pandemic's impacts. In total, the Board prioritized 31 issues for the 2021 Work Plan at a retreat in November of 2020. In addition to the specific issues and projects listed on the Work Plan, the staff manages many other programs, services, and activities as part of every Department's work.

Coexisting with Coyotes

Coexisting with Coyotes

Erie is no stranger to coyote sightings. These clever canids have readily adapted to our food and habitat-rich environments. As sightings begin to rise, the Erie Police Department recently offered some reminders to help avoid coyote encounters in your neighborhood. If you encounter a coyote behaving aggressively or a coyote attack, we urge you to contact dispatch at 303-441-4444. Ask to speak with an officer, who will forward the details to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife. For information on how to minimize coyote encounters, visit: www.erieco.gov/265/Coyotes-FAQs.
