Community Park Master Plan

On Tuesday, the Board of Trustees adopted the final phase of the Community Park Master Plan. This master plan is the culmination of a multi-year planning process involving the community, staff and consultants from Design Concepts. Since the process began in 2017, the Town secured an additional 5 acres bringing the park to 12 acres with a balance of passive and active recreation uses. Additional amenities include a sculpture and net climber, walking trail, a shade shelter plaza, restrooms, bike pump track, sledding hill and additional parking. View the flyover video of the Erie Community Park Master Plan here. Creating construction documents is the next step. Construction is slated for 2021.

Nine Mile

Trustees approved an ordinance to transfer all of the Town's interest in the Nine Mile parcel at 287 and Arapahoe to the Town of Erie Urban Renewal Authority.

An additional ordinance and resolution was approved of the Nine Mile Planned Development & Subdivision Plat with the intent of clarifying elements of the existing planned development agreement and to make modifications which reflect the intergovernmental agreement with Lafayette.

In addition, an approved amendment to the development agreement introduces the newly established metro district and defines public improvements and infrastructure obligations of the developer and/or metro district. This is the next step in the Lowes Development process as part of the comprehensive Nine Mile urban renewal planning area.
