COVID-19 Updates
This Saturday, the Mayor issued an emergency declaration establishing eligibility for emergency resources, and allowing for more flexibility to change procedures and implement closures to protect residents and visitors and minimize the spread of the coronavirus.

Next, we enacted closures to Town facilities to allow Town staff to conduct deep cleaning, and create social distancing. Employees continue to answer phone calls, and support Town functions; oftentimes remotely. If you have any questions about a specific Town service, visit www.erieco.gov and search the topic. Many Town services are offered online. A few notes about services:

  • The Parks and Recreation Department closed the Community Center, and cancelled classes and activities.
  • Municipal Court are temporarily closed. For details visit Municipal Courts webpage.
  • The Erie Police Department continues to provide its normal public safety services, with limited public access at the facility.
  • The Recycling Center is temporarily closed.
  • Essential services like public safety, water, wastewater and snow removal are not affected and will continue as usual.
  • Boards and commissions will hold meetings virtually. Visit the Town Calendar for detailed information.

Bumps on countyline

Bumps on Countyline and Arapahoe

Storm drainage pipes were installed as part of the Compass development causing a dip at Countyline Road and Arapahoe just north of the intersection in the northbound lane, and a smaller one on the west side of the intersection in the eastbound lane. The Town is monitoring these for continued settling. Public Works will be engaging a geotechnical engineer to determine the cause of settling (i.e. expansive soils, leakage from the pipe, poor compaction, etc.) and then fix them this summer when the temperatures are more favorable for asphalt work.
