Water levels along Coal Creek have risen and remain at dangerously high levels. At approximately 11:25 pm, residents of Erie Village located on Washburn were again notified by Boulder County Emergency Notification to pay extra attention to flood conditions as water from Coal Creek is crossing County Line Road to the west. The following is the emergency notification sent to those residents: The Erie Police Department advises Erie Village residents on Washburn Avenue and Washburn Street that the water has risen and crossed County Line Road. Evacuation may still be necessary. Be vigilant and aware of the weather updates. Should you choose to evacuate, please proceed to C.W. Bixler and then south on County Line Road. As a reminder, the Erie Community Center (303-591-0340) is open for evacuees. Red Cross is stationed at the Community Center.
Evacuation Shelter - The Town of Erie has opened the Erie Community Center (450 Powers Street) as an evacuation shelter for families in need. Red Cross and town of Erie Recreation staff are on site at the shelter. The public is invited to stop by or call 303-591-0340 for shelter information.
