[ARCHIVED] Wanted: Trails and Open Space Photos & Comments

Did you know……. Since 2005, the Town of Erie has added 6.5 miles of Trails and 115 acres of Open Space.

In November 2004 , Erie voters approved the Trails and Natural Areas Mill Levy. Since that time, of the over $5.1 million* collected from the property tax, approximately $2.7 million has been spent on Trails construction and Open Space acquisition. (See details below.)

* The Town has received approximately $1 million in additional matching grants for Trails construction and Open Space acquisition.

TRAIL CONSTRUCTIONCreate hiking, biking, and walking trails throughout Town to connect neighborhoods and the regional trail network. Protect natural areas along Coal Creek and Boulder Creek.

Arapahoe Ridge Spine Trail Connector  3,000 LF 
S. Coal Creek Trail – Vista Pkwy to Regional Trail 9,663 LF (to be built in 2012)
Coal Creek Connector – Briggs to Ruth Schrichte Trail1,480 LF (to be built in 2012) 
Total Trails Constructed Since 20056.5 Miles 35,100 linear feet
