Volunteer Victim Advocates work as a liaison with law enforcement immediately after an incident to provide support to those impacted by crime or tragedy. The next volunteer training academy will begin in early October and is held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturdays. The training covers intervention techniques, active listening, victimology, victim rights, criminal justice information and many other topics.
