Beginning the week of Oct. 10, a contractor for the Department of Public Works will begin applying a hot poured crack seal material to arterial and collector streets through Erie as well as neighborhoods including Arapahoe Ridge, Candlelight Estates, Brennan by the Lake, Grandview, Vista Point Estates, and Vista Point. Work will be performed in the neighborhoods and on arterials/collectors from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday. All crack sealing is anticipated to be complete by mid-November, weather permitting.
For resident’s safety, the Town of Erie requests that pedestrians and bicyclists stay clear of the work zones. Residents adjacent to the areas of work will be notified with a door hanger and posted “No Parking” signage. Please observe traffic control devices and keep parked vehicles in driveways until work has been completed.
Work areas may periodically be reduced to single-lane traffic during daytime construction hours. Alternate routes are advised. Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclist are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area.
For more information on this project, please contact Town of Erie Streets Department, George Hubert at 303-926-2889.
