Erie’s Hometown Boy Scout Troop 62 will host a Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 30 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Troop members will read the Presidential Proclamation for Memorial Day, then take turns reading a list of the fallen buried at Mount Pleasant. This event is free and all are welcomed to help honor Erie’s brave who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.
The Board of Trustees officially proclaimed Memorial Day in the Town of Erie for Monday, May 30 with a heartfelt remembrance and reading of the proclamation by Trustee Ari Harrison. A recording of the proclamation is available for viewing on YouTube.
