Update as of August 16:
Due to unforeseen conflicts with existing water and utility lines, ground water and soil mitigation, and severe weather, the progress on the sanitary sewer installation on 111th Street has been hampered and significantly slowed. The updated work schedule puts the anticipated completion through the month of September. Time frames and dates are subject to change due to weather and any other unanticipated delays. Updates to these closures will be given prior to the start of each phase if a date or time frame change occurs.
The work will still follow the phasing below:
Phase 1: Start July 2
Work will take place from the intersection of Flatiron Meadows Boulevard and 111th Street to the entrance to the Scofield Farm. This will be a full closure during the day and will remain closed overnight with a detour route in place utilizing 119th Street between Arapahoe Road and Erie Parkway. Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes.
Pipe work and paving should be completed by August 16. Landscape crews will have to follow with clean up and reclamation of the disturbed swale on the side of the road. The reclaim work will be performed concurrent with the pipe installation on Phase 2.
Phase 2: August 16, Enduring for approximately 19 Days
The work zone will move south between the Schofield Farm entrance and the south side of Dickens Street. This will be a full closure during the day and will remain closed overnight with a detour route in place utilizing 119th Street between Arapahoe Road and Erie Parkway. Access to the Arapahoe Ridge subdivision will be at Morris Court. Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes.
Phase 3: September 3, Enduring for approximately 14 Days
The work zone will move south from the south side of Dickens Street to the south side of Morris Drive. This work will include a partial daytime closure of Morris Drive; flaggers will be used to move motorists through Morris Drive during the day to keep access open to the residences. After work hours Morris Drive will be fully opened, but the work zone to the south will be closed. A detour route will be in place utilizing 119th Street between Arapahoe Road and Erie Parkway. Access to the Arapahoe Ridge subdivisions will be at Morris Court from Arapahoe Road and Dickens Street from Flatiron Meadow Boulevard. Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes.
Phase 4: September 16th, Enduring for approximately 16 Days
The work zone will move south from the north side of Morris Street to Arapahoe Road. This work will include a partial daytime closure of Morris Drive; flaggers will be used to move motorists through Morris Drive during the day to keep access open to the residences. After work hours Morris Drive will be fully opened, but the work zone to the north will be closed. A detour route will be in place utilizing Flatiron Meadows Boulevard from Erie Parkway and 119th Street between Arapahoe Road and Erie Parkway. Access to the Arapahoe Ridge subdivision will be at Morris Drive and Dickens Street. Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes.
Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area.
