In coordination with regional partners, including the City-County of Broomfield, City of Longmont, Town of Erie, City of Lafayette and others, Boulder County is starting a multi-phased re-envisioning process of the US 287 corridor. This first phase of the study examines Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) viability on US 287 between Longmont and Broomfield to address the growing congestion and travel demand. The study's focus is to evaluate traffic patterns, current transit operations and infrastructure, vehicle queue lengths, opportunities for intersection treatments, and a Station Areas Toolkit. As travelers, residents, businesses, and property owners in the project corridor, you are essential partners in the re-envisioning process, and the project team is seeking your feedback.
