Police CACP Re-accreditation
This summer, the Erie Police Department elected to conduct a re-accreditation process by the Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police. The process included an in-depth inspection of all aspects of the department, to include operations, written directive reviews, staffing levels, the facility, and fleet. Upon achieving successful re-accreditation, the CACP assessors remarked, “The EPD has a high degree of morale and pride and there is a high degree of confidence in the services provided.” The EPD is among the 10 percent of police departments in Colorado that have been re-accredited, out of 280 police departments in the state! EPD first achieved CACP accreditation in 2003, and achieved re-accreditation in 2010, 2015, and now 2020.
