On Saturday, Sept. 24, Arrow J Landscaping will be hauling in material for landscape work while utilizing the southbound lane of WCR 5 from WCR 10 south to Flora View Drive. For this work, the southbound lanes of WCR 5 will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday only. All southbound traffic will be detoured west on WCR 10, then south onto Horizon Blvd, then east onto Flora View Drive where traffic can access WCR 5 at the Flora View Drive intersection.
The northbound lane of traffic will have full access maintained throughout. The closure on the southbound lanes will be removed by 7 p.m. on Saturday evening.
Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area. Delays may occur and alternate routes are strongly recommended.

On Saturday, Sept. 24 the contractor working on the Erie Parkway mill and overlay will be paving on Erie Parkway eastbound, starting at Powers Street working towards Briggs Street. They anticipate work to occur between 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Southbound County Road 7 Closed.
The construction manager for the County Road 7 improvements has opened northbound County Road 7 from Erie Parkway.
Southbound traffic is prohibited as Colorado Paving crews expand and pave this section.
A new signal requires extensive planning and fabrication. The signal was designed and the construction contract has been awarded. Once the signal components arrive, an install could occur in the Spring of 2023.

On Monday May 9, Pauley Construction will begin utility work at the intersection of Weld County Road 4 and Weld County Road 5 to meet fiber demand needs for newly constructed neighborhoods. The work is expected to last through June 3.

Beginning March 14, the Town of Erie will kick off the continuation of the WCR 5 Improvements Project. As a reminder, this project started in the summer of 2021 with utility work in and around the roadway.
The next six phases of work will ultimately increase safety for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists and will improve traffic flow through the area.
Included in the plans for the WCR 5 Improvement Project is to:

Today the contractor and the Town determined it was necessary to add a temporary stop sign at the intersection of WCR 5 and Flora View Drive to help with traffic flow. Beginning on Monday, Feb. 28 through Tuesday, March 1, Ward Electric - a contractor working with United Power - will be finishing work on an electrical line at the intersection of WCR5 and Erie Pkwy. This work is weather permitting.
