The Town of Erie contracts with the State of Colorado and Boulder and Weld Counties to provide residents a place to dispose of household hazardous waste. Erie residents, regardless of which county they live in, can use both facilities.
Boulder County Hazardous Materials Management Facility

- Residential Waste Drop Off: The Hazardous Materials Management Facility (HMMF) is now open and accepting residential hazardous materials by appointment only due to COVID-19.
- Business Waste by Appointment Only: Businesses must submit application and inventory in advance and receive an appointment date and time prior to delivering waste.
- Closed: Sunday-Tuesday and on County holidays.
Weld County Household Hazardous Waste South Facility

- Open Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Closed for all major holidays including the Saturday following or prior to the holiday, if holiday is on a Friday or Monday.
- Business waste will be accepted by appointment only and will not be accepted on residential drop-off days. Please call 970-400-2217 to schedule an appointment.
