Town Clerk's Office

The Town Clerk’s Office is responsible for preparing Board of Trustees agendas and packets, recording Board of Trustee meetings and coordinating the preparation and retention of the official Board of Trustee meeting minutes.

Election Administration

The Town Clerk coordinates and administers all Town general and special elections. In addition, citizen-initiated recalls, initiatives and referendums are submitted to the Town and verified for sufficiency by the Clerk. The Town Clerk’s Office also maintains current files on Fair Campaign Practice Act filings. The Town Clerk also distributes voter registration forms.

Records Management

The Town Clerk is responsible for maintaining all official documents for the Town and for researching and providing copies of official actions of the Town. The Erie Municipal Code is maintained by the Clerk’s office and updated quarterly through codification supplements.

Public Notification

The Town Clerk is responsible for the timely publishing of all legal notices, including notices of public hearings, final approval of ordinances, requests for proposals, notices of final settlements, election notices and other applicable notices.
