Dogs owned by residents in the Town of Erie must be licensed. Every owner of a dog over six months of age shall have the animal licensed within 30 days after it is brought into the Town. These licenses expire when the licensed dog's rabies vaccination expires.
If you provide an email address on the Dog License Application (PDF), you will be sent a reminder email after the date of your rabies vaccine expires!
The owner shall furnish the following information:
Proof of current rabies vaccination
The name, physical address, and telephone number of the owner of the dog
Veterinarian proof of neuter or spray.
The Town of Erie no longer assesses fees for dog licensing as of 10/18/21.
