Outstanding Resident Award

The Outstanding Resident Award is presented to Erie resideoutstanding resident awardnts, non-profits, or organizations who have made significant contributions to or had a significant positive impact on the community. Residents are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals for consideration for the award often. Selection criteria are broad, as contribution and impact can be measured or determined in different ways. Things such as community leadership, community organization involvement, heroic action, humanitarian efforts, service, volunteerism, and even things like business success, personal or professional achievement, or recognition brought to the Town of Erie community as a result of an individual's efforts.

Each nomination will be given the utmost consideration. When a nominee is selected for the award, the nominator will be notified by the Town of Erie and the next formal recognition will be by the Board of Trustees in January. The award itself is a commemorative brick laid in the heart of the Town, at the Erie Community Park. 

To enter a nomination at any time, complete the nomination form. Each year, nominations will be collected and winners for each category chosen for a ceremony at the beginning of the next year. All nominations for consideration in a given year will need to be entered before the third Thursday in October.

Flag Display Request

The Town of Erie may approve the display of a special flag with the approval of an application from an Erie resident on flagpoles owned or controlled by the Town.
