On Tuesday, November 10, the Board of Trustees unanimously approved the installation of an ice skating rink in Downtown Erie at 130 Wells Street (east of Briggs Street behind the Post Office). This new amenity was brought to the Board by the Economic Development and Parks and Recreation departments, with the help of The Recess Factory. The collaboration began with an interest in providing an attraction that would increase traffic to Erie's downtown restaurants and businesses in the colder months ahead. Construction is currently underway. Tentatively, the opening is expected to be in early December. Check back here for an official date and further details!
