Coal Creek Disc Golf Course

**Traffic Advisory:  Coal Creek Disc Golf Parking Lot Closure**

On Monday, Sept. 20, work will commence on the Coal Creek Disc Golf Course Parking Expansion Project, which will result in a full closure of the disc golf parking area and Coal Creek Trail trailhead.  The contractor, Happel, reports that work should be completed by Friday, Oct. 8.  The trail north of the access road will remain open to pedestrians and bicyclists.

The project will expand and formalize the parking area for the Coal Creek Disc Golf Course in addition to making the entrance to the course/trailhead a right-in/right-out to increase vehicular safety on Erie Parkway.

The course will remain open for play. Additional parking for users is available at Serene Park (200 Colliers Blvd) or Coal Creek Park (575 Kattell St.) and can access the disc golf course via trail.

The Coal Creek Disc Golf Course is Erie's newest amenity located in the Coal Creek Open Space area, east of the Coal Creek!  The course features 18-holes, in varying topography, and is available for play daily from sunrise to sunset.

Limited parking is available at the trailhead north of the Erie Parkway Bridge, or is just a short walk from Coal Creek or Serene Park.
