Airport and Economic Development Advisory Board

Airport and Economic Development Advisory Board advises the Board of Trustees on economic activity at the Erie Airport. It consists of seven members, all of whom must be bona fide residents of the Town. At least three members have experience in economic development and three with experience in aviation. The Board of Trustees makes the appointment of seven members to staggered four-year terms.

The Town of Erie wants to promote economic development that is beneficial to the Town. The Erie Airport is a Town asset that already has a significant economic impact. According to the 2020 Colorado Aviation Economic Impact Study, the Erie Airport supports 214 jobs and almost $36 million in business revenue. To help the Erie Airport achieve an even greater impact, in September of 2020, the Board of Trustees established the AED Advisory Board to advise the Board of Trustees and promote economic activity at the Erie Airport.
