Erie residents are invited to recycle leaves (and now pumpkins!) for composting each November. Have fun with your leaves, jump on them in piles, or re-use them in bags for Halloween props to help us crush them! Next, bring the leaves in loosely tied plastic or paper bags that you will keep after emptying your leaves. Leaves are collected and have been used by local farms as a soil amendment and need to be as clean as possible. No garden waste, large brush, branches, or tree stumps are accepted as part of the leaf collection event (no commercial landscaping). The event is available and free to Erie residents!
