Parks & Recreation Department

The Parks & Recreation Department is comprised of four separate divisions: Building Services Division, Development & Neighborhood Services Division, Parks Division, and Recreation Division. 

Building Services Division: 

Performs and provides oversight for the completion of a wide variety of highly responsible business services for the Department. Including financial and human resource management, data collection, analysis, and reporting, strategic planning, and other high-level administrative functions. Conducts research, analyzes operations and performance, prepares the Department budget, assists with strategic planning. 

Development & Neighborhood Services Division:

Performs a wide variety of high-level coordination, management, planning and forecasting of major projects. Assists with long range planning, Department operations, strategic partnerships, volunteer programs, design and construction projects, development plan review, support to boards and committees, and special projects. 

Parks & Open Space Division:

Recreation Division:

Provides leadership, direction, and oversight to the operations and functions of the Erie Community Center and Community Park including staff, programming, guest relations, facility maintenance and related activities.
