A block party permit allows you to close a street in the neighborhood for a community gathering. You will be required to obtain the permission of your neighbors to close the street. Contacting your neighbors personally and getting their signatures will demonstrate neighborhood support for the event. There is a $10 block party application fee and a $50 deposit if renting cones from the Town. The deposit will only be accepted in the form of a check.
- Block Party Permit applications must be completed and submitted to the Town Clerk at least 30 days prior to the date the activity is to occur.
Step One:
Download and obtain signatures on the Petition for a Block Party Street Closure if you require streets to be blocked. A map is also required in the Block Party Permit Application designating street closures. Emergency vehicles must have access.
- At least 50% of the residents who reside in the closure area need to sign the petition.
Step Two:
Complete the Block Party Application with uploads of your Petition for a Block Party Street Closure and Map, if desiring street closures.
Step Three:
Upon acceptance of the permit application, a permit will be issued by the Town Clerk.
