Block Party Permit

Block Party Permit Application

All special events, circuses, carnivals, or similar exhibitions, parades, processions, or open air meetings conducted within the town are required to obtain a permit prior to commencing activities.

  • Block Party Permit applications must be completed and submitted to the Town Clerk at least thirty (30) days prior to the date the activity is to occur.
  • Block Party Permits will be evaluated based on state and county public health orders and guidelines (particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic). See the Public Health and Environment webpage to reference the sources of these guidelines. (As of 6/4/2020, the State’s Safer at Home’s outdoor guidance limits to 25 people at a time.)

Step One:

Download and obtain signatures on the Petition for a Block Party Street Closure (PDF) if you require streets to be blocked. A map is also required in the Block Party Permit Application designating street closures. Emergency vehicles must have access.

Step Two:

Complete the Block Party Application with uploads of your Petition for a Block Party Street Closure and Map, if desiring street closures.

Step Three:

Upon acceptance of the permit application, a permit will be issued by the Town Clerk.
