Tree Incentive Program Information

The Residential Tree Incentive Program was established in 2005 on a recommendation from the Town of Erie Tree Board. The program has continued each year and the 2010 Tree Incentive Program was approved by the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. The program allows resident to request a certificate for 50% off the cost of a tree, up to $125. In 2010 there are 1,000 certificates available and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until all 1,000 have been claimed.

How the Program works –

Only Town of Erie residents qualify for this program residency is verified through our utility billing system.

·     Call the Tree Incentive Hotline at 303-926-2739 and leave your name, physical address, and home phone number. (PO box if applicable)

·     Within 10 business days you will receive an informational packet with a welcome letter, numbered tree certificate, list of approved nurseries, 2010 approved tree list, and a tree planting diagram.

·     Once you receive your packet, take your certificate to an approved nursery, choose an approved tree and present the certificate at the time of payment. The nursery will deduct 50% of the cost of the tree – up to $125. Residents are responsible for the remaining balance, including any applicable taxes and delivery charges. Certificates may only be used toward the purchase of a tree, no labor charges, shrubs or other plant material qualify.
