Voter Registration
Erie's regular Municipal Election is held during the month of April in even numbered years. Other elections are held in November of uneven years. These elections include Presidential Primary elections and General Elections. Erie is a dual county municipality; East of County Line Road is Weld County (County Seat is located in Greeley) and West of County Line Road is Boulder County (County Seat is located in Boulder).
In order to register to vote in Erie, you must be:
U.S. Citizen
18 years of age by the day of the April or November election depending upon election year.
A resident in the Town of Erie 30 days before the election
A registered voter 29 days before the election in the appropriate County in Erie.

Change Of Address Forms
In order to register to vote in Erie, you must be a U. S. citizen, 18 years of age by the day of the April election, a resident of the Town of Erie, and a resident of your appropriate County Weld/Boulder. If you are a resident of the Town of Erie, you may register to vote in the Town Clerk's office.
Your registration is active unless you move out of your County or fail to vote at least once in four consecutive years. If you move within the Town, you must file a new voter registration at least 30 days before the books close prior to an election. Failure to do this promptly may result in ineligibility to vote.

Absentee Voting
Municipal Elections - 90 days prior to a Municipal Election is the first day that applications for absentee ballots may be filed in writing with the municipal clerk. Absentee ballots are to be delivered to applicants as soon as practicable, but not more than 72 hours after the ballots have been printed. Forms may be found in the Town Clerk's office.
